    Is this event still happening? A friend who rides for the club says it has been cancelled but there has been no official word and the club are not replying to my emails I have sent.
    Pure Velo (who arranged the payment for the event) have said they understand it has been cancelled but are delegating any offical confirmation onto the organisers...

    It is with regret that I have cancelled this event. There are insufficient entrants to organise the type and quality of event that would be enjoyable and of which we could be proud. I will therefore arrange for reimbursement of your entry fee and you should see it appear in your account within a few days. Thank you for your willingness to participate and I am sorry for the disappointment.

    Thanks for posting this up, although it would have been more helpful if the club had directly emailed participants with this message rather than on their forum. Also, a response to my emails would have been polite as much as anything. Not to worry, at least I know I can enter another event now. Any idea when the refunds will be issued? Thanks
