I always thought WD-40 on a bike is a no-no, however after recently reading a page in Cycling Plus magazine, it says WD-40 can be used on pretty much anything from your front and rear mech, chain and good for removing moisture.

I've always used it on my bike to free up and sticking parts and to displace water, but i always use a standard 3 in 1 oil after i clean it all down.

Was that a WD40 advert by any chance?

I use it for cleaning and mild lubrication but i'll use 3in1 for the rest.

Page 33 of the current mag wasn't an article, it was an advert.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Definitely not on the chain, as it will strip the lube out. Use it on mech and brake pivots but not on bearings.

WD 40 is a must for having in your toolkit.

wouldnt use anything else for removing glue residue from labels or stickers.

apart from that leave it alone inless you get moisture on your HT cables on the car and it wont start.

NOT NOT NOT the chain. I personally wouldn't use it any part of my bikes, but I guess it can be used here and there.

Just remember WD40 is NOT a chain lubricant .... I do believe they have brought out a range of lubes and oils for bikes, but I won't be in a hurry to try them ...

No I find it really good. Morgan Blue is used by about 80%+ of the pro peloton. If it's good enough for the pro teams to use then it is good enough for me :)

I bought my stuff from Wiggle. But I'm sure you'll find other places that stock it if you have a look on google.
