Interesting 100/50mile Charity Sportive for Clatterbridge Cancer Hospital. 16th Sept.

Starting in Southport and looping up through Lancs to Yorkshire and back.

(I have no connection with this event/charity - just a heads up)

I dont think it's on Cyclosport or British Cycling. I only found out about it through reading a leaflet in Halfrauds.

Think I might do it as it's new, for charity and I've missed out on a few rides this year.
  • You can try the Liverpool Mercury "Ken Hill" at £8 on 23rd sept , a fair ride out over Rivington and back . See their web-site. http://liverpoolmercury.co.uk/forum/vie ... 72a413e767

  • Pity the Ken Hill comes over to Chorley on the same day as most of Chorley are doing the Lewis Balyckyi Memorial (A local lad sadly killed on our local roads)

Once you left the wasteland of Southport and Lancashire behind and made it to the golden sunshine of Yorkshire, there seems to be little incentive to cycle back, if it were me I'd carry on to the NY Moors and Coast. :D

  • Good luck with your fund raising forthe Lewis Balyckyi memorial ride. I remeber the name of the very promising Wallis cycles rider.
Hope the sun shines that day.
