Hi all just joined the forum. this winter will be my first winter out on the trails and dont want my fitness to drop so need a set of lights.
Had a look online and its a bit of a minefield tbh. Had a look at Magicshine, fluxient etc but still no closer to choosing which one will be best. got a budget of £100.
what should i be looking at guys and girls
Thanks Andy

A lot of people I ride with use a Dealextreme XPG (circa £40), either solo or with one on the bars and one on the lid.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Read "What Lights?" and read the very first post by DIY in "The big LIGHTS thread 2011-2012" as this covers torches. There are various options for separate Light Unit + Battery Pack set ups - like the Magicshine, but you'll have to search them out.

£100 is more than enough for decent lights. I started with a P7 SSC torch on my bars and a XRE on my lid... I now have the P7 SSC on my bars, sometimes a backup XML torch on my bars, and another XML torch on my lid. XML torches are not much more than £10, cells are £2.50 and a charger £5, with mounts are £1.50 or so. The main issue with cheap lights is the waiting for them to arrive on a slow boat from China.
