Hi guys,

I'm a lurker on here and I have a read through the crudcatcher most days as it is always entertaining!

Anyhoo, along with the obligatory "who the fark are you" comments I was hoping to grab the attention of
anyone who knows something about BMX bikes. I posted this yesterday in the buying advice forum, but I'm thinking there are a few crudders who would be able to help.

There is a "WeThePeople Justice" BMX for sale on a well known auction site ending soon which to my untrained eye looks OK, but I was hoping for someone on here to say it looks good to help me justify splashing the cash on something I know nothing about!

Anyone able to help please?

  • Well, it is for a kid and a grown up kid so I tick 2 of the 3 boxes. Don't fancy filling the 3rd box TBH!

serious answer: wethepeople make some of the most reputable bmxs around and are usually pretty light. if you can get one for a good price and it's in good condition then go for it

crud answer: why would you buy a child's bike?
  • Thanks Jay12 for the serious answer. I'm buying a child's bike because it's for my son. At no point will I be playing silly buggers trying to relive my youth or practicing moves which I can't pull off on my full-sus :-)
  • CWNT, have you found playing on a BMX has had any affect on your MTB skills? I'm hoping that it will be a lot easier to get to grips with bunny hops etc on a smaller bike and that will help me on my proper size bike. Am I kidding myself?

Have you considered he may not be 12 and could actually be a 47 year old hairy groomer pretending to be 12? Still fits in with VW's theory

I've seen a massive improvement in my mate who rides BMX as well as MTB. Much more confident on jumps, bunny hopping fallen logs etc etc. He was already one of the best riders in our group but now he's miles ahead of us.

He also has made lots of younger friends ...

    Jay12 is 12, obviously.
He is 12, has always been 12, and will always be 12.

You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.
