difference between shimano & look pedals?

i have currently only used 2 sets of entry level shimano pedals. when i next buy a bike i may upgrade pedals too at least to 105 maybe even ultegra pedals but whats the difference with look?

    Not a lot. They both work the same but you must use the correct cleats. IMO the Shimano cleats wear better and are safer to walk in.

    Agree with above. The Shimano ones wear far better. Think the Look ones are made of cheese

    I find Look easier to clip in to - the front part of the pedal that you hook into is raised above the pedal which makes it easier to catch. But I only use those pedals on my poshest bike. For the rest I just use Shimano SPDs which are hard to fault.
