DCR vs Half

Evening all

This is a long shot and I'm fully prepared for a crudite onslaught, but I've entered a half marathon and i need some sponsorship

Its on the 9th Sept. I do run semi-regularly, but only really up to 10km, so this is a bit of a challenge. If you can be arsed to read what's in the link, you'll understand why I'm doing it.

I did 15km tonight. 17km next week.

Up to 17km now, so the 20km required will be ok i reckon

Crashing at Degla on Wed night prob wasnt the best prep, so staying off the bike till the race

Legs started to hurt around 18km, but not too shabby

Final bump

Race is on Sunday

Taking it easy this week. Right heel is a bit sore from Friday's 10 mile run, so just going out on the bike in the morning. Ive done the distance, so i know what im in for.

Target should be sub 99 minutes. Even I could do that in my 40's. If you can I'll top you up to £500.

(As that's only £7 at the moment, I'm not being particularly generous.)

As for the rest of the tight spazwangles on here....

I think you should run it with something Crudcatcher themed on your person. Maybe only drink lime juice or something (freshly squeezed by anal clenches, naturally).

Race done

Was hard. Didn't help that I strained my foot last Friday while out running. Much chafing has occurred also. Was hard running in a group as well, when you usually run alone. Hard to maintain a steady tempo.

On the plus side there were loads of fit wimmin in short shorts and I raised a total of £957 (£618 from donations, £120 from Gift Aid and £220 from the NHS, who match 30% of the total raised)

So yeah I have sore feet, but it was totally worth it.
