loose barrel adjusters

Hi I have a obrea aqua is about 3 year old the barrel adjuster mount were it attatches to the frame has become very loose it had been loose for a while but never thought any thing of it but now it is a lot looser. Is my frame dead or anyway to fix it doubt it'll be covered by warrenty this late?

    If it won't screw in so it secure then the threads may be damaged. Runnin a tap through (M5 probably) may help. If the thread is too far gone I can see two options.
    1) run a M6 tap through and fit a ~M6 barrel adjuster.
    2) leave your existing adjuster in place (use locktight to secure firmly) and use a inline adjuster.

    Hi I don't think I explained it well enough adjusters work fine the mount that is attached to the frame that the adjuster goes in, is secured with rivets but came loose from the frame. Hopefully that is a bit better.
