Just getting back into MTBing, have access to some good bikes but no buddies at the min! Still working up my fitness so I may lag behind but a few weeks work should get me going !
Looking to ride local and then venture further afield! Coed llangrha and Brennan, Mainly go upto Lee Quarry a the min and Hurstwood and few loops of Coppice. Gisburns next on the list.
I live pretty local have a car and cycle carrier and work during the da till 530/6pm and able to get out most Sundays.

So le me know!!

Send me a pm with your mobile no and I will txt u when I txt everyone else.

Have you been to the trails near Witton park? Not a big place but good for a mess about.
I can't remember exactly where they are but we parked on Witton park car park and found our way to it which involved mucho climbing.

Hurstwood would be perfect as this is set out as an easy trail, Im of to the mother in laws today (Burnley) and if weather is ok Im taking my son (5) up Hurstwood for a quiet lap, I will of course be taking my bike for a sneaky blast.

I did Hurstwood with the lad and its good if your just starting out and looking for something to session and learn on. No real jumps (although I did improvise) and only one steep downhill section.

You could easily spend a couple of hours doing the berms etc learning techniques.

Hi Phil I used to live in Ossy but moved to Nelson about Three years ago to be with the ole ball and chain, I work in both Burnley and Blackburn so the Coppice is easy striking distance for us and gives a bit of variety and is good for a quick Jaunt. I think we have a good offering of p,aces to ride in and around this area!.

There is a small bmx track in Barrowford under the motorway good for learning on, and if you go on the canal upto the res at Barrowford on the opposite side of the canal near the locks there are a couple of jumps which although smalll you can get really good air on, ace for learning tricks and techniques on.
