    Ok a few thoughts. The wire is not clamped in the groove. The clamping plate is not orientated correctly. Is it touching the band bolt? Reducing total cable pull ( and therefor travel).

    I would also be looking at the whole routing on the other side.

    Change the cable at the same time and something might appear.

    Took a punt, and ordered a 'conventional' Deore mech, stayed with the current cable as it's a pukka sealed Ride-On, and robert's your father's brother!
