I am currently building a Giant TCR-2 Composite frame.
I am trying to use as many parts from my Rayleigh airlight as possible.

I removed the headset cups from the airlight but i found they are slightly to big for the Giant.

I am trying to find the correct replacements to fit but I am having trouble.

The bottom and the top are the same diameter which is 41.4mm.

I have used the crane creek headset finder which gave me this
1" Zero Stack ZS Standard

Would this fit?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FSA-No-11-AGY ... 335wt_1270

I have also found this from the park tools website
diameter 41.3mm Interference fit
Low Profile. 1-1/8" steering column, with headtube outside diameter nominally 47mm
Frame has no angular contact.

I'm not really sure what I am supposed to get as there are so many variations.
I'm not to sure on the year but I'm pretty sure it was before gaints new headset sytem

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Not 100% on this, since you're unsure of the year of the bike.
Firstly forget the one in your link-it's not correct.
This is very probably what you're after:http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/giant-road-headset-no26g1-id51868.html
You mention the frame has no angular contact. On certain Giant frames 2 angular pieces are pushed into the head tube, one from the top,one from the bottom -which the bearings seat on. The headset in the link above has these angular pieces included. So does Hope headset but they are more pricey. Not many headsets include these pieces but once you have them they can be reused, so any 1 1/8" integrated headset will then fit.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi,
    Thanks for you help.
I managed to ring up giant and they told me which one to get. although I couldn't seem to find it in any local bike shops.
But I found this on ebay which worked fine

Btw is there anyway to get notifications when someone replies to a post, as I've only just seen this, 3 weeks after it was written.

    Thanks
