How do you go about getting test rides on bikes? Do dealers have all bikes available for demo or just a selection? I'm looking at going one of 2 ways.

Selling up a Boardman Road Comp and either going for a Genesis Equilibrium and opting for comfort, or going for a Canondale Supersix 105 and taking a more extreme but sharp approach.

The Boardman has been my first bike, and i've enjoyed it but I've always fancied a Canondale in Liquigas colours.

I'm not sure where the Boardman ranks, and I'm not sure what I enjoy most in riding. I enjoy going fast, but I enjoy doing distance too. I think if I rode both or something similar in geo/frame material then I might get a better idea.

Westbrook cycles in Guisbrough do the Cannondale and seem to be well thought of on here, as well as being cheap. Give them a call and see what you can sort out? Shouldn't be too far as you're in the north east!

I'll be trying them soon as I'm also not too far away, just need to sell my car first!
