Trek 2.1 lost on A23 Sussex

A long shot this but a young lad at work rode L2B last week and then his bike fell off the back of his father in laws car, He wouldn't stop because there was no hard shoulder, by the time they turned around and drove back it was gone so somebody has picked it up.
