I've an HTC and would like to start using it in my ageing Seat Leon. I have no 'line-in' to simply jack into the stereo so need one of these devices that utilise an FM channel I guess. Anyone got one of these? Any good?

    costs 2.74 including postage...

if you pay more you can get one with a frequency display, which makes it easier for tuning the car radio, 5.95...

otherwise they are all much alike, finding a clear channel and proximity to the fm antenna are the keys to success, if you are going through areas with fm transmitters then you may need to retune

Used one a while back from an MP3 player and it worked but not great. Sound quality wasn't great and I think it lost dynamic range.
It was fine to keep the kids entertained for a while and OK for speech but hardly hi fi.
Any cheapo FM transmitter with a 3mm jack should be OK and they were available for between £5 and £10.

new radio is a bit cheaper, most come with line in nowadays, or even USB

I mucked around with these then gave up on them. Not worth it IMHO.

I put something like this http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/jvc-kdr ... -r431.html in my previous car, just load up a memory stick and away you go.
