Hi - I've just bought a secondhand bike with Sram Rival groupset, it came with Carbon wheels and the appropriate brake pads. I've changed to aluminium rims and need to change the pads, but I can't seem to find any pads that state that they work with Sram. Can I just buy any shimano pads? I'm looking at Aztec, BBB etc.

Many thanks

Toby

Yes Shimano and SRAM have the same inserts. Spend a few quid more on some green Swissstop pads as opposed to aztec etc, you can normally find a set for around £20 and they're well worth it.

Yup re Shimano fitting SRAM all ok.

KMC salmon/black are better than Swisssssssssssssssssssssstop green and half the price.

Or did someone say bargain bucket Clarks for a fiver at CRC?

I am talking aboslute rubbish - sorry. Koolstop salmon and blacks - I have KMC chains on the brain at the moment.

    Very, very sorry.

Here they are at Wiggle but other people sell them cheaper if you do a quick Google: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/kool-stop/cycle/.
