Vitus 979 frame...HELP

Hi all can any one help?

a friend has found an old frame in his loft and we know nothing about its history .

Its in pretty good nick but can any one expand on the little we know from what is on the frame

Vitus 979 Dural

underneath the BB there is a stamp that says Vitus Modele Depose.
Also a stamp that says Vitus Brevete, FAB - France

campagnolo Headset /Steerer

any info much appreciated. thanks, its gonna head to ebay no doubt unless its worth nowt

    The serial no is E090475 if that helps

    On closer inspection the frame does have some minor cosmetic damage but really needs a good clean and polish. I guess it will end up in the classifieds of this website or eBay , hopefully someone out there may be looking to restore to former glories.
  • Can you tell me what the size is? There is a number stamped on the head tube.

    This has what I believe is later seat post attachment.

    Anyway, an interesting find!
