2x10 front mech with triple chainset?

Hi, I've got hold of a new frame that has a SRAM X9 2x10 direct mount front mech, however I was planning on using the triple chainset that I currently have. If I get a 3 speed SRAM front shifter, will the mech work with a triple chainset? Thanks!
