Looking for hubs, I've come across these two, they look the same but the 529 is supposed to be 700/29" specific. Any reason why it is?

From memory the 29er specific hubs have a larger flange, so you can use a shorter spoke to give a stronger wheel

the M529 is just an SLX hub with a stronger freebody.
