will hesjedal and de gendt be down to ride the tdf now or will their efforts here be seen as them having done too much - would be great if they could mix things up for the tdf

Come on Harmon, did anybody honestly expect that J Rod wouldn't get spanked in the TT?

Slagter and Henao respectable times for climbers. Good ride CVV.

That was too much time to lose for JRod at first check. I hope Ryder went too hard.

De Gendt was never going to do the tour. His p,an was to do a ride at giro or vuelta

Question is....could J Rod have won this Giro if he got over his phobia of attacking outside the last 500m?

De Gendt is on his honeymoon during the tour.

Not a bad TT by Pozzovivo actually, shame he couldn't find his mojo in the mountains.

Why? Hesjedal was by far the best rider over the three weeks.

Congratulations to Hesjedal, but it feels like a cruel way to end a grand tour.

Only a winner by 16secs. Great ride by Joaquim Rodriguez. Still a class rider all through the year. Much better rider than Ryder as demonstrated by his place in the CQ and UCI rankings over the years. Too late now, but he will rue not making more moves a little further out.

Well done Ryder. First Canadian GT winner.

    The most consistent finisher. J-Rod

He won by 16secs. So you are wrong. Not by far. Actually by hardly anything. Just by a better tt performance over 30km.

He won, so i'm not wrong, you're just dissapointed that J Rod didn't win.

As I said above, I like J Rod and think he could have won if he rode more like a "True Champion" and attacked outside of the last 500m.

Let's not forget that Hesjedal attacked and dropped J Rod on two of the summit finishes and then beat him in the TT...he won fair and square.
