Bike Hire - Portugal

Hi,

Has anyone had any experience renting a road bike in Algarve? I am staying 30 mins from Faro and wouldn't wanna be trekkking too far to pick it up!!

Any tips etc will be greatly appreciated!!

    Where are you staying, as 30 minutes from faro covers about half the algarve, especially by taxi :D

    What kind of bike/riding are you interested in?

    BikeLandShop.com (although the site doesn't seem to be working, welcome to the internet algarve style!)

    Megasport has an excellent web site showing all the bikes, they rent pedals etc, site has info on cycling in the area etc these two shops are 5 minutes apart on the EN125 (main road across the algarve) loads of info all in English.

    Went into bikelandshop recently they did have trek bikes for hire, but you need to go there to look.

    Most car rental places in most towns rent BSO's.

    Any other questions about anything portugal related, just ask.

    UPDATE:

    Stopped someone in the street yesterday who was on holiday and had rented bikes from Megasport, they said that the bike shop deliver and collect bikes from the hotel they were staying in so they didn't have to go to the shop at all. Good service.
