I've just built this Cove Stiffee FR up from parts from my On One Summer Season which it's replaced. Looking kinda sweet too especially the custom etched stem cap I've had done.

Full build is as follows -

Cove Stiffee FR medium ano frame
Rock Shox Pike 454 forks
Hope headset
Easton EA70 bars
RaceFace Ride stem
Goldtec Draco hubs front & rear on Stans Alpine rims
RaceFace Turbine cranks & Goldtec 32t ring
Superstars chain device
Shimano XT 11-36 cassette
Thomson Elite seatpost and seatpost collar
SDG saddle
Shimano XT SPD's
Shimano XT brakes front and rear

It's a bit heavy at 27lb but the wheel build isn't the lightest neither are the Pike forks which ideally I'd like replace with some Fox 32 Floats or Vans if possible. We shall see....

I've wanted one of these for years. looks great.
  • Not criticising but can i ask why you got alpine rims for it? Surely something a little more sturdy would have been better than those really light XC rims?

Nice bike! I used to have some pikes, lovely forks, but weighty as hell! Get some revelations on there, much better than anything fox sell for a couple of hundred quid more than revs...

Looks tasty, need to lign up the tyre logos with the wheel logos though, almost managed it on the rear!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

That's one of the nicest looking builds i've seen. Personally would have gone for a double up front but depends what you're using it for.
