Santander to Biarritz in a week

Hey there,

Has anybody attempted to do the same, or part of this route? We're flying out to Santander on 26th June -3rd July, any must places to stay? Tips on the way? Or good routes to use? We were thinking about San Sebastian and wondered if Bilbao was a bit tricky to get to?

    Hi I flew to Bilboa and rode to Toulouse about 10 years ago. We landed at Bilboa in the ealry evening and rode toa campsite at Mundaka on the coast, which is very pretty.

    We then rode to St Jean Pied de Port and then along the Pyrenees to St Beat in and then north to Toulouse we took two weeks including a couple of rest days.

    In Spain we avoided the main coast road as I had driven it a few years before and it was busy. Very nice riding , quite roads but lots of hills 3-5 km long.

    Things to note: Away from the coast in Spain English is not widely spoken, there were no campsite (in a couple of places there was only one place in town to stay) and you can't find camping gas.
