Old frame/bike - anyone heard of C. Bertram?

It's a lightweight fixed wheel bike, probably at least sixty years old, and bore the name C. Bertram. Fratelli Brevio hubs, Major Tailor adjustable stem, various fascinating old parts. Oddly enough, the bottom bracket is threadless, all those years ago. Does anyone know anything about that name?

    Hi, I've only started cycling recently and I found your post about C. Bertram. I take it that the name may have been added some time after the bike was built. I know that name very well.
