cycling shorts

Hi everyone.
Some advice if I may.
For my ride around Zealand this coming September (around 260 Miles on a Giant Seek 1).
I have great High-Viz tops and a waterproof jacket + gloves and helmet.
My problem now is my bottom half.
I've just bought these:

Question is, and I'm sorry if these are really novice questions. But can I just wear these over 5 days (assuming I buy a few pairs of them). Do you wear anything over or under them?
What if it rains? I have a jacket, but what about waterproof trousers? Are they worthwhile if you're wearing shorts?

You only learn by asking.
Don't wear anything under cycling shorts.
Whether to wear waterproof bottoms is a very personal choice - you'll only find out from experience. I tend to not wear them touring, cycling clothes are still comfortable when wet and dry fast once it has stopped raining. If it is persistently wet then I probably would wear them to keep warmer. I'd take them with me.
Zealand in Denmark? Which maps are you planning on using? I'll be riding across North and South Zealand in summer - got one of the dcf maps and wondering what other options there are.0 -

My Brother's planning the route (and lives and works on Zealand), but I believe he got these (or this is the link he showed me):

But there are more routes available. i.e. regional and local routes which are given in the book.
