How do I go tubeless?

So I have a Scott Genius LT40 2011 and I want to change the tyres to tubeless in the easiest / cheapest way I have heard of ways of doing it without changing the wheels and tyres to tubeless 'ready' versions so I'd be interested in everyone's thoughts and ideas on this.
