So, I have a purple helmet. Which is alll well and good. It fits alright, sort of.
However, it grows when I touch it, or when I go for a walk.

What would you advise?

I would advise that SS bans you again. Clearly this is the start of a slippery slope.

As long as it's a real helmet and doesn't require a strap to stay on... it's perfectly natural

Hmm, now you mention it, yes, it does shrink in the cold.

When I had this problem I cut back on my walking for a while. I now find I can slap it on my head with only a hint of stingyness.

There's also a few nasty scratches, a large dent, and a few holes in my helmet since I crashed my bike.
Do you think it's ok to use again in that state?

Couldn't you go for a slow walk as a a sort of 'test ride'? Failing that let jay12 use it and see what happens.

Slippery? Best wear a helmet, then!
