Headsets

I'm restoring an old Raleigh Medale and was wondering if I can put a standard 1" threadless headset in rather than using the old headset with new bearings?

Any help would be appreciated

  No, you need a 1" threaded headset. Campagnolo record still exists.
  Do you know how to install a headset? It's possibly the only demanding job in bike-building
