Hi,

I have a 2011 GT avalanche with tektro Auriga comps as standard.

The front one has bust, but I was wondering, do I need matching pair front and back?

I have found a shim deore front for £50 on CRC

No need for matching pair at all, no, like many have different sized discs front and rear..... If you do have a mismatch get the 'better' (more braking for less lever effort) on the front as that end has more braking capacity.
