Shockpump instead or tyre pump

I have been playing with the pressure in my shocks a little lately and have started carrying my shockpump instead of a tyre pump. Is there any reason I shouldn't use the shockpump to pump up my tyres if I get a flat?

Yep - it will take you years! High pressure shock pumps don't shift enough air for tyres.0

Thought that might be the case but hadn't tried - thanks0

Quite surprising how slow it is after I know someone was trying in the car park the other day - made for a funny watch indeed only lasted about 5 minutes before I took my track pump out of the boot!Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0

I had a go after a puncture the other day just partially inflating a new tube before fitting - it took about 2 minutes just to give the new tube a little bit of shape at which point I swapped to a proper pump.0
