Race starts today with a rolling circuit. Despite the profile, this is likely to end in a bunch sprint.

Wetterhall is strong ! Downing was 13th in stage. 8 or 9 riders were ahead in the break so maybe if they'd been caught it would have worked out well too..Downing perhaps top 5?. Am tempted to say brismithy needs adjust strategy a little..just see if Endura can take a bunch finish this week

good stuff & good luck! Will Endura get any other big race invites during 2012 that're not currently on your schedule?

Sad to see JTL finish a few minutes back, shame as I was excited as I'm sure we all were to see how he could do on GC against a very good field. Can anyone tell me what happened (crash/mechanical?) or did he lose the wheels?

Yeah - that's what I thought. Boy wonder JTL must have had "un jour sans" - or was his 2'15" time loss today part of a game plan with tomorrow's "Queen Stage" in mind (giving him some leeway to form a break)? - I'm being gracious with the latter option, as I suspect it was the former.
With Camano and Voss lurking at 4th & 5th respectively, Endura are in a great position to sit back and follow wheels: you know them ANDRONI GIOCATTOLI boys are going to kick off...

We might not hear from BrianS about this - he might be sulking: I heard Harmon win a tenner off him today at the Volta...

No summit finish for JTL, possible showing in a breakaway but doubtful.

By the way in case others haven't been following endura have been putting in a good show in the Tour of Normandy.

Big Wilkinson won a stage from a small break in yesterdays first stage in a split day and young Erick Rowsell fresh of the academy won with a solo from 5k out on a tough circuit today and now lies 8th on GC, http://www.velouk.net/2012/03/22/win-fo ... -normandy/

    Got the momentum goin'

Brian Smith says Stomach Bug has struck in Bartali, so i'll put JTL's time loss down to that..

This guy is heavyweight. Superb turn of 5-10k or so solo speed.

This guy Ulissi is pretty good. Nice to see Rory Sutherlund up there in 2nd. Di Luca always in the mix. Sella attacking and in the break today.

Shame for JTL but it happens to the best of them. He will no doubt come back and climb like Contador and drop seasoned pros. Castilla y Leon is a good race - Contador has won that one three times. Tondo won it last year and Levi the year before (although Contador let him win; Astana teammate).

Still waiting for Guardini to show. Haven't been able to follow this race close enough and see whether the profiles are ok for him though.
