Front crank advice Allez 11

hello forgive me for seeming thick but i generall am. I have a speciallised allez and previusly owned a ridgeback panorama. I used to having a 3 crank front but the allez has only 2! I wondered if this can be upgraded easly on the Allez?

Ive noticed the shifters that control thefromt crank click 3 times but obviously I only have 2 cogs!

Is this a big job? expencive?

any advice would be greatfully recieved!

    Expensive job...
    you need new left brake/gear lever which is pricey...
    Get used to the double and buy a bigger cassette at the back if needed... it's the simplest solution

    ah ok! so id would have to replace the leaverls even though they click 3 times and I only have 2 cranks?

    The three clicks is a trim function to adjust so that the chain doesn't rub against the derailleur... I suspect the cable pull might not be enough to go from the small all the way to the large ring and the clicks might not actually result in a shift.
    As I said, get used to the double, it's better, you don't need all those gears... in no time you will laugh thinking of when you used to have a triple chainset
