How's the 760mm bar on a 60mm stem on the Anthem, then? I've just put a 745/65 set up on my GT, and I like it though I am still getting used to it. I was considering something like 720/80 on my 2010 X4 - but I see you've gone for an even wider/shorter AM set up to go with your new AM wheels!

The bar seems to work really well. This was my first full suss and I wanted something that would pedal well and the anthem does that. My local trails are mainly fast flowing singletrack so the anthem is suited for that but now I'm more concerned about parts being able to cope with some punishment than being ultra light.

I find the bar and stem gives it a really nice feeling of stability without seeming to detract from the speed I can change direction.

I may look at brakes next although it's more a case of tatting with things because I can rather than any major change. I loved the bike from stock which is a nice position to be in as it means if I don't like a part I can just put the old one back.
