Currently have impacts which will probably need replacing at some point this summer. Looking at the chase shoes as they seem a bit narrower than the impacts. Has anyone used them on flats? The sole is different but hopefully not less grippy.

I've got some, along with some freeriders. Had impacts originally but didn't like the bulkiness.
Freeriders, exactly the same amount of grip as impacts, but feel a lot more like a normal shoe.
Chase, tiny in comparison, still really grippy and better for walking in.
    This is on ss nanos.

Cheers. Running dmr v12s. The impacts feel big on my feet and having ridden for a year and a half with them I can see the benefit of a smaller shoe and more feel on the pedal. Will give them a shot.

The soles on the chase are quite stiff, probably stiffer than impacts, depends how much "feel" you want.
Shop around though, I got mine for just over £60 online, can't remember where though sorry.. Was on about the 5th or 6th page of google results, so you need to do a good old trawl.
