Ok long time lurker first time posting so be gentle,
Long story short had my hardtail stolen and decided to take the plunge and go FS so after much research I plumped for a Giant trance X4 after going in to the dealer tried one out thought great sorted then the guy said how about the X3 for a extra £350 which also felt great so now I'm not quite so sure so the question is would people say the extra money would be well spent ?

Im sure its worth it, im no expert but its a fox fork and shock with lockout that i believe are the main chnages. Just depends on your budget. It would, no doubt, cost more to upgrade afterwrds.0

You get the etxrra you pay for, as above, namely better forks, shock and kit.
The other option is take the cheaper one, ride it, then upgrade the forks later if you feel you need a better set.0 -
I recently did a test ride on a Trance X2 (long rambling review over in the General section). I don't know much about the X3 or X2, but I certainly wouldn't want to do without some method of locking out (or at least firming up) the shocks when climbing.
Cheers
