Quite a lot going on in the sky at the minute - possible aurora tonight, and a lot of planets visible. Venus and Jupiter are really close together in the south western sky:
Also Orion is up high:
Orion belt, sword and nebula:
And finally just a shot to the north to see if any aurora was visible. Too much light here: but caught an aeroplane lol, and what looks to be a satellite or small sporadic meteor to the right:

Would love to see the Aurora. It's on the to do list. Nice photos. Can't see much where I am at the minute, light pollution is a shit. Can see the space station often though.0

Light pollution is a huge a problem, and can easily be seen in my longer exposure shots.0

That moon shot is awesome. We were out on a night ride once and the moon was low, big and bright orange (from dust or something i imagine?).0

The orangeness is usually dust: though it actually is the same size, just looks bigger because is easier to compare to houses and trees!0

Would i be right in saying it's technically further away when it appears lower in the sky?
