Cable routes under frame tube

Hi
I have just taken delivery of a Specialised allez 2012 compact. Just looking under the down tube, the cables for the front and rear derailier mechs cross over about half way down before running under the BB.
Is this normal? - seems quite untidy to me.
They are rubbing against each other where they cross.
Has this been wrongly assembled??
Cheers

Not unusual. For some bikes it makes a more tidy cable routing.

    Yes it is normal.

It gives better cable routing at the head tube.

The negatives related to the cables rubbing under the downtube are outweighed by the benefits of the improved cable routing at the head tube. Sleep easy :)
