Hi I have had an offer of a trance x2 2009 for 400 . Looks in good condition . Fox forks . How much to service general advice on them and if it would he worth getting even if it needs a service .

  • I bought a Trance 3 2007/08 for £350 recently - it had a few upgrades (cranks/brakes/rims). I have upgraded the forks from Recons to Revelations u-turns but the left the rest as it is. Its my first full susser (also ride mmmBop hardtail) and I love it - cannot recommend it enough for the riding I do which is cross country and trail centre.

My only concern is for the future when I might want something with more travel - if I was you, and the bike is as you describe, I would snap it up!

Servicing, my LBS does a general service for £60....

Great bikes. Allow £100 for servicing the forks as well.
  • How often would these forks need servicing. Are they worth getting done or replacing when they get tired . Regards Neil

A lot in the manuals eyes. In real terms once a year.

Depends what the rest is like.
