After nearly 18 years of faithfull service I am sad to report the demise of my Oakley Zero 0.6 specs. At approx 11.30 am yesterday at Kirroughtree they bit the dust... actually, it was me that bit the dust (and dislocated a finger) while the Zero's scrapped along a rock! They have been by far the best winter specs I have used, open enough to never fog yet large enough cover to always protect. I've used them every winter season since '93 and I'll miss em.
Anybody else suffered such a loss and is there counselling available?

well having dislocated my finger last year (biking of course) i know your pain.. especially when they pull and twist to put it back in...
on the oakley front yep.. my good old trusty eyejackets i to had-had them since the mid 90's and wore them on countless snowboard adventures and then mtb epics.. then one day i went to put them on and the arm snapped in half, i was gutted..
after buying 2/3 pairs of cheapish (£50) riding glasses and not being impressed i opted to get another pair of oakleys (i always had oakleys and have several pair) i wanted to get a cycle specific pair this time,, so i did a little research and opted for some oakley radar's i got some white and red ones with text on the frame and the red rose tint photochromic lenses all was good for a year and half then i make a silly mistake on the step up jump at lee quarry and go otb sliding across a huge rock on my face killing my lovely photochromic lenses and more annoyingly scratching my tld carbon d2 open face lid...www.bearbackbiking.com

Just be thankful you didn't do it in 1994. They'd have still bust, and would have been 100 quid down the shitter with a years use.0
