New Series Starts tomorrow (Sunday 29th Jan) at 8pm.

Splendid.

Oh, and before the usual suspects get started

* It's all staged
* It's not as funny as it used to be
* Clarkson is offensive for the sake of it
* Hammond thinks he is funnier than he really is
* blah blah blah, grumpy old bastaard, moan moan moan.

Now, now. I'm all for our licence fee being used for 'inclusive programming', and it's good to see Auntie Beeb providing content for the 'casual racist' demographic.

    Casual?

Is that due to wearing jeans?

Top gear is money for old rope these days but I'll be watching it anyhow as its quite entertaining.

will be used IF it works (failed for the last two GP's), problem is I work for the automotive industry & so with 130 people in headoffice - most keen top gear fans, I will know everything that happened before I watch it
  • Seems to have gone back to basics now, no stupid stuff. I quite enjoyed it anyway

Yes I thought you'd be the kind of moron that watches Top Gear.

Watched season 1 of glee with the missus, it was good. I downloaded one of the albums and have it in my car.

Have to say i enjoyed this Top Gear. As people have said it was back to basics and the silliness was left for non scripted stuff like leaving hammond behind when his clutch went.

twas a good episode, the lambo looked excellent.

i thought william was less awkward than i expected him to be, i expected it to be like a david blaine interview.

I liked the flames from the exaust.
  • Anyone else notice that going round Imola, Clarkson and May had on regular clothes, but Hammond had the full-on racing overalls on.

Also, bouncing around on that track @ 200mph. FARK THAT!

That William bloke is some sort of proper freaky genius. I had no idea he was involved with all that stuff, I thought he was just some dude from a pop group.

Top gear was good last night. Back to reviewing cars are no staged, really obvious jokes.

The thing that made me laugh though was Will i am saying when i was working for Intel i realised that phones are not actually made my the manufactures and they are made up of parts from other makes. I see why they hired you! No shit sherlock :D

Was a good one. I wouldnt have liked to be in the Noble @ 208mph on that bumpy road!

I also thought the William chap would be an awful interview, but it turns out he seems a honest, nice guy. fingers in may pies as well, nothing what I expected him to be like.

I hope the rest of the shows go along the same lines as this. Some of the best ones are the un planned, no silly staged bits ones.

Anyone remember the one where they did up the 3 series for the 24 hour race! No mucking about, and one of their best ever.

Just watched the new episode didnt think much of the Xmas show or the last series but decided I would give it one last try. Have to say I really enjoyed it especially at Imola that took some balls to keep the pedal down.

When watching the Imola bit, i had all those feelings of "Yeah, I'd love to do that" to"Feck no, maybe in my own car"?
but in a car that you hardly know, on a track you hardly know, Na.
Glad they went back to the old format, but i think there will be still the odd Dudd episode.
