Hi

Getting girlfriend MTB so was going to get

I want the best bike possible for her at around this price range (im getting Rockhopper Expert 2012 next week so want her to keep up with me :D

Im a noob with MTBs so be easy as im still learning the basics

    So £800 on yours, £300 odd on hers. And you want her to keep up. I'd dump you for a less stingy model.
    But of those, the Vulcan. Forks on the Malts are dire.

    Is your lady a big'un?

    The 2 Meridas are only available in 18", which may be too large.

    The vulcan you've linked to is the men's one aswell, Halfords do a women's model. Probably best you take her to Halfords with you to try a couple for size to see what suits.
