A friend and I are planning to ride Coast to Coast in May this year.
Does anyone have a website which they would recommend for routes etc.
I know there is loads on the web regarding this but it would be great to have a recomendation from someone who has done it already.
Cheers

Sustrans is your best bet. I did the way of the roses c2w (Morecambe to Bridlington) last year, 170 miles through 3 national parks and a great route , with only 2 really nasty climbs on it and good staging posts.

Once you decide the route you want to do a lot of the routes have their own forums or websites if you type it into google.

I can send you the sustrans map sheets if your interested.

Its worth buying the proper map i would say, you can usually pick it up for a few quid on ebay/amazon.

  • Last year I did a Scotland coast to coast from Ardnamurchan Point to Buchan Ness. I can dig out a link to the route/blog if it's any use to you.
