ok so im researching new bikes for when my cycle to work scheme starts up around april time and i have seen this on evans http://www.evanscycles.com/products/gt/ ... 9?query=gt sensor#features
it seems perfect for the type of riding i do, love going up but even better when you have to go down and enjoy all the bits in between. i have read some reviews and they mostly state that the stem is too long and the cock pit too short. now i have allready got the nukeproof warhead bars (710mm)and the warhead stem (70mm) will this then be the best all round bike for me?
would love some input on other upgrades i could make or from any owners of a gt sensor, also on another note i have a GT avalanche at the momment and i have abused it and it loves it but you dont see many GT'S out on the trails any reason?

Ride it and see how you get on - the stock bars are 690mm, and the stem 90mm I think.
GTs have just gone out a fashion a bit, they still make good bikes albeit overpriced when new. Which suits me, as they get hefty reductions ;-). The suspension system is very good.
Don't worry about upgrades just yet, is a well rounded packag, if not good value.0 -
cheers supersonic was hoping you would chip in last years model is £749.99 on pauls cycles now cracking price hoping come april time i will get a bargin. i think this has made my mind up now and i will just swap over my bars and stem when i get it. would you say its a better bike than the trance x4 from giant?0

Not better or worse, just different!0

I haven't been on a Sensor but I really like my GT Force with the same suspension just longer.0

Go with the GT Kes, the money you save could be used for upgrades when parts wear out, or even a skills course to help you improve faster.0

deffo going to go with the GT , i love having something thats different plus its available in orange ive had a look at plas y brenin and the courses they offer and they seem good value.
