    Very nice Nap. A beautiful bike. I wouldn't ride it in the Winter though. I'm toying with the idea of getting the 2011 white and blue colour way frame from Sigma Sport when I get my bonus.

    How do you find the ceramic BB and the Rotor chainset compared to a standard BB and chainset? A worthwhile upgrade?

    I've been running a ceramic BB for a while with my red. TBH I don't notice a difference between ceramic and good steel bearings in use, although the steel ones seem to need a little more tlc.
    The chainset feels noticeably stiffer than the SRAM red one.

    The cable housing is black, it's just a trick of the light. Look at the top of the crud catcher to see what I mean.

    Nope, it's white.
    Cables were made up using spare black sections, ran out and couldn't be arsed to buy a whole new set just for that section!

    It does bug me though...

    I'll be getting some I links in the new year I think.

    I've just been looking at the Cervelo web site. I've noticed the non-Team version (white and blue colour way) has different forks to yours. Do you know what the difference is between them?

    I would say looking at the website, the difference is 3.

    The FK33 is slightly lighter. The team frame is slightly lighter than the non-team.

    Crank came with the frame. I personally don't feel any benefit from the oval chainrings although others I know (especially Pokerface) do.
    The crank itself is great though, stiffer and lighter than the SRAM Red one...

    my thoughts too, it's makes alot of sense to ride a carbon frame in the winter.

    I`ve wondered if you had ever regretted selling the S3 and going to a Colnago ?
    your back with Cervelo again?.
    I would choose technology over Prestige any day of the week.
    I`m dreaming about one of those S5 aero frames.

    Honestly? I'm regretting selling the Arte...

    The R3 is great, stiff, light and comfortable but the arte handled beautifully. I think its the geometry of the Colnago. They really have that side of things nailed. I'd take a Colnago personally :cry:

    How is your riding coming on?
    I`m 100 watts down from twelve months ago.The surgery seems to have worked though. The pain has gone ish but still shows up after to much work It`s getting better :D.

    Because it's a very expensive frame. Why risk coming off in the shitty road conditions we always have during the Winter and damaging it?

    That's why a lot of people have at least two bikes, so they keep their most expensive for nice sunny days and ride their cheaper one at other times.

    It's hardly an uncommon practise.

    Riding is happening in fits and starts, sold all my kit including powermeter so I don't know where I am power wise, I'm very unfit and two stone heavier though!

    I thought the impressive characteristic of the R3 was the handling, especially the turns during descents. If the Colnago out-handles an R3 then I HAVE to try one.

    Don't get me wrong, I think the R3 is great and to be fair I haven't raced it yet, but when I did the beacon Little Mountain Time Trial I was miles quicker on the descents than I was on my S2, it'll be interesting to see how the R3 gets on this year...
