Dura ace 7850 wheels

My 7850 50 cl wheels need a new freehub as when the cassette is fitted there is 1-2 movement in the cassette side to side. The cassette has the correct spacer on it and is torqued to the required amount. Would I be able to swap the freehub over from a dura ace 7850 sl the latter being the 24 mm wheels. On the exploded drawing on the shimano website they look the same. http://techdocs.shimano.com/media/techd ... 688501.pdf

Wont the hubs be identical on the two models? Surely its just the rim that is different?Pegoretti

That's what I thought.0

Are you sure it's not just loose? I'd take it to bits and verify that it's actually faulty before pushing the boat out on a new part.- - - - - - - - - -

How would I go about doing this? It all feels tight apart from 1 mm of play in the hub itself. The freehub is a sealed unit and can't be taken apart.0

I don't know but you must have been planning on removing it so why not start by checking that it's screwed on properly.- - - - - - - - - -

The Shimano technical document for the hub includes instructions for removing the freehub body:
