cyclocross tyres compatability

hi all,i have a cube attempt with mavic aksium on 700 x 23 with shimano 105 calipers,going to be going from roads onto canal paths on my daily cycle ,is it possible to fit some cyclocross tyres 700 x 28 or are there road tyres maybe 700x 25 that can handle some mud and small potholes alng the way ,thanks

    You'll probably be able to fit a touring tyre like a Schwalbe Marathon in 25mm and maybe 28mm - can't say for certain, best to try. Most CX tyres are 32mm and above and unlikely to fit a regular road bike
    Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
