Supposing you were building a bike which has ISCG mounts and you wanted to run a 2x10 (22-32) most of the time with a chain device and bash, but wanted to temporarily convert it to a 1x10 (32) with an upper chain guide etc. for an alps trip. Is it an easy thing to do and change over and what would be the most suitable groupset to build this off and the best chain device etc?

it depends on the bike and other things. but 32 is two small for the alps.

    38 would be better.

but to answer your question. Any.

Got 2x10 with 26-39 and like the range on that and thinking of a chain device for that and maybe that will be fine for the alps. Only thing is I have no bash but looks like some devices have integrated protectors at the bottom and the chain when on the big ring would I guess act as a bit of a protector anyway.
