Anyone tried them & recommend them? I'm looking for a large volume winter tyre which isn't excessively heavy but will take some abuse & give me some grip in the mud & on wet roots.

yer iv just put a set on for winter.
there ok on wet grass / mud but not ridden wet roots yet they roll well on road. if you want a sticky front get black chilli i got the normal one's.
you need to be ridding fast to shift the mud from them but i like em.

some DH riders use the chilli one's so i would say yes. But never tryed them as i don't ride that hard.

go for the black chilli ones they have got really good grip on loose rocky climbs but slippy roots to.
