Usual apologies if this has been covered to death already, but I'm in the market for a new set of bars (quite possibly a stem to go with them too) and I would be very grateful for any recommendations.

They will be for my steel winter trainer/commuter so a few extra grams here or there will not worry me much. What I think I am after is a bar that has...

A width of around 42cm
The 'ergo' shape
A shallow(ish) drop

Beyond that I am told 'oversized' is now the way to go for stiffness and comfort and I read good things about a bar with flat sections.

Any advice for a clueless idiot would be appreciated.

    3T Ergonova and a 3T ARX stem.
  • Thanks Bozman! The bars look just the job and I see they get great reviews. looks like most places are out of stock for the wider versions, though, so I'm going to have to shop around.

    Any other tips welcomed

The FSA Omega bar is much cheaper and has the shape you are after.
