Hi all,
Just joined as looks a great site for info and all things biking,
I bought a set of Lumicycle Halogen light 2 years ago and want to upgrade. The battery that came with them is a 14,8v 5.2ah Li-on with twin power leads so im hoping to just buy 1 or possibly 2 led lamps.
Question is am i best staying with Lumicycle and opt for the XPG ATL or is there a cheaper alternative that use the same battery and lead fitting such as AYUP.
Any advice much appreciated!

To stay with the brand you are looking at 150 quid.
Alternatively you could augment your lights for 30 quid.

If you went for two you could use a splitter to run your old pack, but given they come with packs anyway it might not be worth it.
You also might find the warm colour of the Halogen's and the pure white of the LEDs annoying.
Alternatively you can get one of these:

Thanks for the reply, one of the reasons i want to change is i use a p7 torch on my helmet and as you mention the yellow of the halogen and white of the led is quite annoying, also im wanting more light.
Im hopin just to buy the light units alone as i have th li-ion battery and it hasnt had much use so seems a shame to pay out for another battery and charger. I suppose i just need to find the brightest led lamp units that have the same fittings as the lumicycle battery units.

I can see the thinking, but you could just ebay the pack. You will end up spending more to re-use it. Plus I don't know of any LED lights that run at that voltage. most are 3.7-4.2 or 7.2 - 8.4v
its like having a great frame in the garage which will cost £1000 to build up in to a £500 bike0
