New bike

Hi
I am looking to get a new hardtail mountain bike for this winter and would like to know if anyone has heard of any good clearout of 2011 models ?
I want to pay up to about 1300 Euro.

I saw this GT which looks a good buy ??

I am more into road riding so I dont really know much about Sram X7 components which the GT has. Would this be about the same level as XT ?

    Pauls Cycles are always worth a look with upto 50% discount though sizes can be hit and miss...

    X7 is below XT more maybe like SLX? X9 I think is more the XT price point and X0 is XTR?

    Nice bike though I am just now replacing parts on my similar specced GT after some failures, I do ride quite hard though and I weigh 98kg, This is a good bike but the frame / forks geometry are good so even if those parts do fail you can upgrade them to better on the bike no problem.

    Dunno maybe saint? but not sure if that is supposed to be below or above XTR? and don't know how accurate my info was hence the question marks.
